Rave in the roots.
(One of) 2019’s most notable breakout artists Dj Mum’s musical pallet is well aligned with the Junglist movement – leaning towards obscure blends of half-step, breakbeat and dub, combined with an unwavering taste for the more experimental aspects of electronic music. Mum’s key mission is to nurture her crowd toward pure, uncensored dance floor expression through bass music, in whatever dark and unpredictable manner that might come.
Having spent the best part of last year tearing up dances across Melbourne and further east coast Australia with her unique rhythmic flavours, she caught the attention of the Sleep Deprivation crew who invited her to open up the first Junglists Paradise event with Australian music legends DJ JNETT & Rambl, impressing us so much with her left-field hip-hop and dubwise selections that we had no other choice but to invite her back for a full 7-hour throw-down alongside resident kufatali (and some very special guests) in what will be undoubtedly a party of very large proportions not unlike our debut event and the subsequent editions…
This ain’t a house party, it’s a rave, get it?
